View=>Event Window
------------------

This command switches the Event Window on and off.

The messages will be saved in the file :file:`Settings\\uniplot.log`
in the UniPlot user directory (see :ref:`GetUserDirectory`).

Beginning with UniPlot R2013.9 every time UniPlot (uniplot.exe) or. UniScript
(us.exe) is started new log files are created in the UniPlot log directory
(:file:`C:\\Users\\<user>\\Documents\\UniPlot\\log`), see :ref:`overview-logging`.

Messages can be added to the event window with logging functions 
(e. g. :ref:`log_error`).

If a file name is added to the "Source" column, the file can be opened with
a double click on the file name (:ref:`ShellExecute` will be executed).
