.. highlightlang:: us .. index:: Table=>Dataset Legend Configuration .. _table-dataset-legend-configuration: Table=>Dataset Legend Configuration ----------------------------------- This dialog box can be used to configure the legend table. .. image:: S:/uniplot-obj/images/legend_dataset-en.* To create a new legend table right click on a diagram and select :ref:`diagraminsert-field-function` or ``Add Legend``. Select the item ``Create legend for datasets (table)``. A double-click on the legend table opens the configure dialog box. .. us.dialog .. us.dlgitem **Display legend for all datasets of the page.** All visible datasets with more than 0 data points will be displayed in the legend. .. us.dlgitem **Display legend for all datasets of the diagram.** For this option the legend must be assigned to a diagram. To move the legend form one diagram to another diagram, cut the legend with Ctrl+X (make sure that the legend is active and no elements are marked. To do so, click outside the legend and then click again on the legend), activate the new diagram and press Ctrl+V to paste the legend into the new diagram. .. us.dlgitem **Display legend for all datasets of the stacked diagram.** For this option the legend must be assigned to one diagram of a stacked diagram. .. us.dlgitem **Display symbol** The dataset symbol will be displayed in the first column. .. us.dlgitem **Display file name** The elements of the file name can be specified in the text box. Example: ``name.ext`` displays the file name and extension. ``drive.path.name.ext`` will display the complete file name. .. us.dlgitem **Display channel name** Displays the y-channel name. .. us.dlgitem **Display channel unit** Displays the y-channel unit. .. us.dlgitem **Display dataset legend text** Displays the dataset legend text. The text can be modified by a double-click on the dataset. .. us.dlgitem **Display Record Filter** Displays the record filter used to load the data. See :ref:`dialog-box-data-filter`. .. us.dlgitem **Use curve color for font color** If this option is set the text line in the legend will be displayed in the curve color. .. us.dlgitem **Y-Minimum** Displays the minimum value of the y-coordinates of a dataset. .. us.dlgitem **Y-Maximum** Displays the maximum value of the y-coordinates of a dataset. .. us.dlgitem **Y(1)** Displays the y-coordinate of the first datapoint. .. us.dlgitem **Y(n)** Displays the y-coordinate of the last datapoint. .. us.dlgitem **Y-Max - Y-Min (dy)** Displays the Maximum - Minimum value of the y-coordinates of a dataset. .. us.dlgitem **Y-Mean** Displays the arithmetic average value of the y-coordinates of a dataset. .. us.dlgitem **Y-Standard Deviation** Displays the standard deviation value of the y-coordinates of a dataset. .. us.dlgitem **Correlation-Coeff.** Displays the correlation coefficient value between the x- coordinates and y-coordinates of a dataset. .. us.dlgitem **Calculate values only for x-diagram range** If this option is selected, the statistic values are only calculated for the displayed x-range. The option is only used if the dataset has monotonically increasing or monotonically decreasing x-coordinates and the dataset contains data points for the displayed range. Otherwise the complete dataset is used to calculate the statistic values. .. us.dlgitem **Extra Header Row (To edit text, right click in Cell, Type x in name field)** If this option is selected, the column names are displayed in the top row. If you would like to edit the default column names right click on the cell and select the :ref:`edit-objecttable`. To avoid the legend field function overwrites the new text add text to the name field of that cell, e.g. type in x. **Link to Page with Datasets** If the legend is on a different page of the same document, the page containing the datasets can be selected from the combo box. .. us.dialog .. us.comment **Comment** The parameters are saved in the name of the table object. If the action string for a data file is to ``Set To Zero`` in the data exchange dialog box :ref:`datadata-exchange-(page)` the file will not be displayed in the legend. If the legend text of a dataset starts with an exclamation mark (!) of datasets with zero data points will not be displayed in the legend. **History** .. list-table:: :header-rows: 1 * - Version - Description * - R2013.3 - New Option *Display Record Filter*. .. seealso:: :ref:`table-objects`, :ref:`edit-objecttable-configuration`, :ref:`text-objects`, :ref:`datadata-exchange-(page)`, :ref:`@f{legend_table}` :sub:`id-1298653`
