Import of DIAdem files
======================

Introduction
------------

The addin RS_DIADE is an import filter for UniPlot to access DIAdem data files.
DIAdem is a program from National Instruments Corporation (www.ni.com).

Installation
------------

* Choose :ref:`tools-add-in-manager`.

* Check the "DIAdem-Import" addin.

* Choose OK. Restart UniPlot.

The installed files are located in the
:file:`C:\\Program Files\\UniPlot\\AddIn\\RS_DIAde` directory.

Usage
-----

* Start UniPlot.

* Choose :ref:`fileimport-data`.

* Choose Type "DIAdem File (\*.dat)".

* Select one or more DIAdem files. 

Created NC-File
---------------

The NC file contains all channels of the selected DIAdem file. 

Limitations
-----------

Data in the formats TWOC12 (12-Bit-Integer), TWOC16 (16-Bit-Integer) and MSREAL32
cannot be imported. 

The time format of time channels in ASCII files are not supported (Key 110).  

Bit masks are not supported (Key 215).
