If the cursor is activated in the toolbar, objects can be clicked on and selected. A double-click opens the object’s dialog box.
If the mouse is dragged over a frame, all objects within the frame will be selected. To unselect objects, click the mouse once outside of all objects.
To select or unselect other drawing objects, hold down the Ctrl-key.
With the help of the mouse, this function draws a filled or transparent rectangle containing text. If this button is clicked, the cursor takes the form of a cross.
To draw a text object, click the Draw Text button on the toolbar and then drag to create the object. To edit the text, double-click the object to open the text dialog box.
This function sets the selected object in front of all other objects.
If the object is a dataset, the dataset will be set in front of all other datasets.
If the object is a diagram, the diagram will be set in front of all other diagrams.
If the objects are drawing objects, the drawing objects will be set in front of all other drawing objects in the appropriate diagram.
This function sets the selected object behind all other objects.
If the object is a dataset, the dataset will be set behind all other datasets.
If the object is a diagram, the diagram will be set behind of all other diagrams. The background layer which cannot receive data, remains the background layer.
If the objects are drawing objects, the drawing objects will be set behind all other drawing objects in the appropriate diagram.
If you want to send a drawing behind the diagram or in front of all other diagrams, you have to cut the object out of the diagram and paste it into the background or into the front diagram.
