.. highlightlang:: us .. index:: Help=>Check Drive Speed .. _help-check-drive-speed: Help=>Check Drive Speed ----------------------- This command can be used to measure the write speed of your hard disks with a drive letter. The write speed should not be lower than 2 MB/S. The Uniplot user directory (see :ref:`GetUserDirectory`) and the directory to store temporary files (see :ref:`GetTempPath`) should be located on a hard drive with at least a speed of 100 MB/s. If you want to store UniPlot IPW/IPZ files on drives with a lower speed of 2MB/s, it is recommended to copy files onto your local drive before you open the file with UniPlot. You can use programs like ``rsync`` (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rsync) or ``robocopy`` (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robocopy) to copy the files. .. image:: S:/uniplot-obj/images/help-drive-speed.* .. seealso:: :ref:`help` :sub:`id-1402266`
